The Basics

What Are Salesforce Integration Services?

Salesforce integration services connect Salesforce to the other systems your business runs on, so customer, order and payment data stays the same everywhere.

Salesforce is rarely the only system in a company. Sales may close a deal in Salesforce while invoices are raised in Tally or an ERP, payments land in a gateway and conversations happen on WhatsApp. Integration decides which system owns each record, how fast changes travel, and what happens when something fails.

API

API access depends on your Salesforce edition. Enterprise and higher editions include it; some lower editions don't, or need it added. Every org also has daily API request limits.

See the 3 integration patterns

Why Salesforce integrations break, and how we prevent it

Common cause What we do
01
Point-to-point tangles
One integration design, with each system's role written down
02
API limits hit in production
Call volumes estimated, Bulk API used for large loads
03
Duplicate customers in two systems
One system of record per object, matching rules agreed
04
Passwords hard-coded
Named Credentials and secure authentication
05
Failures nobody notices
Logging, alerts and automatic retries
Straight Answers

Who We Are, and Who We're Not

Plenty of companies offer Salesforce services, and words like "partner" or "certified" get used loosely. So here's precisely what OGEN does, and what it doesn't.

What we do

Services we deliver ourselves
  • Design and build integrations between Salesforce and your other systems
  • Migrate and sync data into Salesforce from spreadsheets, old CRMs and ERPs
  • Write Apex, Flow automation and API services where an integration needs them
  • Set up secure authentication, error handling and monitoring
  • Support and maintain integrations after go-live

What we are not

So nobody has to guess
  • We are not a Salesforce partner or reseller, and we don't sell Salesforce licences
  • You buy licences and any add-ons from Salesforce. The org stays in your name.
  • We earn nothing on licences, so we'll recommend the simplest integration that works, not a bigger edition
  • We don't publish made-up success rates or guaranteed timelines. Every estimate comes after discovery.

Choosing the Right Approach

Point-to-Point vs Middleware Integration

There are two broad ways to connect Salesforce to other systems. Neither is always better. The right one depends on how many systems you're connecting and how they'll grow.

Point-to-PointDirect connections between two systems
Middleware / iPaaSA central layer between systems
Each system calls the other directly through APIs
How it works
Systems connect to a middleware platform that routes and transforms data
One to three integrations
Usually suits
Many systems, or integrations expected to grow
Usually none beyond Salesforce
Extra licence
A middleware subscription, such as MuleSoft or another iPaaS
Usually quicker to deliver
First integration
Longer setup, then quicker for later integrations
Each change touches both systems
Making changes
Changes often made in one central place
Built into each integration
Monitoring
Usually centralised in the platform
Becomes tangled as connections multiply
Main risk
Added cost and another platform to run
Choose point-to-point if…

You're connecting Salesforce to one or two systems, volumes are moderate and you'd rather avoid another subscription.

Choose middleware if…

Several systems need to share data, integrations will keep growing, or you need central monitoring and reuse.

This is a general comparison. The right design depends on your systems, data volumes and security needs, which we review during discovery.
Picking the right pattern

Not Every Integration
Should Be Real-Time.

Salesforce offers several supported ways to move data: REST and SOAP APIs for request-and-reply, Platform Events and Change Data Capture for event-driven updates, and Bulk API 2.0 for large volumes. Choosing the right pattern for each data flow keeps an integration fast, within API limits and easy to support.

RESTRequest-and-reply APIs
EventsPlatform Events & Change Data Capture
Bulk 2.0Large data volumes
Salesforce
A
Real-timeRequest & reply

A system calls Salesforce, or Salesforce calls out, and waits for the answer, such as checking stock or credit before saving an order.

Best whenThe user needs the answer immediately.
B
Event-drivenPublish & subscribe

Salesforce publishes a change through Platform Events or Change Data Capture, and other systems react when it arrives.

Best whenSeveral systems need to know about the same change.
C
BatchScheduled bulk loads

Large sets of records move on a schedule using Bulk API 2.0, such as nightly product or price updates.

Best whenVolumes are high and a short delay is acceptable.

How We Work

How Our Salesforce Integration Services Run, Step by Step

Six steps, each ending with a deliverable you can review and sign off before the next one starts.

Step 01: Discover Output: system map

Map Your Systems and Data

We list every system involved, the data each one holds, volumes and who owns what. We also check your Salesforce edition, API access and current limits.

System InventoryData VolumesEdition & Limits
Step 02: Design Output: integration design

Choose Patterns and Ownership

For each data flow we pick real-time, event or batch, decide the system of record and agree field mappings. Scope and responsibilities go into a written statement of work.

PatternsField MappingStatement of Work
Step 03: Build Output: working integration

Build in a Test Environment

Integrations are built in a Salesforce sandbox or test environment first, with secure authentication, error handling and logging included from the start, not added later.

Sandbox BuildNamed CredentialsError Handling
Step 04: Test Output: test report

Test the Unhappy Paths Too

We test normal flows, large volumes and failures: what happens if the other system is down, a record is rejected, or the same update arrives twice.

Volume TestingFailure TestingUser Acceptance
Step 05: Deploy Output: go-live sign-off

Release and Initial Sync

Deployment is planned around your business hours, with the initial data sync checked and a rollback plan ready if needed.

Deployment PlanInitial SyncRollback Plan
Step 06: Monitor & Support Output: stable sync

Hypercare, Then Ongoing Support

After go-live we watch logs and alerts closely during a hypercare period agreed in the contract. After that, support covers fixes, checks after Salesforce releases and changes.

Why OGEN

Why Pick OGEN as Your Salesforce Integration Company?

We won't claim to be the biggest Salesforce integration company in India. What we offer is advice that isn't tied to licence sales, developers who work on both sides of an integration, and contracts that say exactly what you're getting.

01
Our biggest difference

Nothing to resell.
Nothing to upsell.

Because we don't resell Salesforce or middleware, we have no reason to push a bigger edition or another platform. If a direct API integration is enough, that's what we'll build.

  • Independent: not a Salesforce reseller
  • ERP, accounting, payments and messaging
  • Real-time, event-driven and batch patterns
  • In-house developers for both sides of an integration
  • In business since 2013, based in Noida
Talk to Our Integration Team
02
Both sides

We can build the other end too

OGEN builds ERPs, portals and apps, so when the other system needs an API or a change, our developers can do it, not just the Salesforce side.

03
Secure by default

Credentials and access done properly

Named Credentials, least-privilege integration users and no passwords in code, set up from the first build.

04
Visible failures

Errors you can see and fix

Logging, alerts and retries are part of every integration, so a failed sync doesn't go unnoticed for weeks.

05
Clear contracts

Scope and changes in writing

A statement of work lists every data flow, deliverables, responsibilities on both sides and how change requests are priced.

Buyer's Checklist

How to Choose a Salesforce Integration Company in India

Most proposals look alike on paper. Ask every company on your shortlist these eight questions, including us, and compare the answers in writing.

01Who will actually build our integration?
Good answerNamed developers with Salesforce API experience, employees or clearly disclosed subcontractors.
Red flag“We’ll assign a team after you sign.”
02Which systems have you integrated with Salesforce?
Good answerExamples close to yours: your ERP, accounting or payment system.
Red flagA generic “we integrate everything.”
03Are you a Salesforce partner, and can I verify it?
Good answerA straight yes or no that you can check in Salesforce’s AppExchange consultant listings.
Red flagVague wording like “Salesforce-certified company”.
04Which pattern will you use for each flow, and why?
Good answerA reason for each: real-time, event-driven or batch.
Red flagReal-time for everything, by default.
05How will you stay within our API limits?
Good answerA volume estimate, and Bulk API for large loads.
Red flagNo mention of limits at all.
06How will credentials be stored?
Good answerNamed Credentials or an equally secure method, never in code.
Red flagPasswords pasted into code or config files.
07What happens when a sync fails?
Good answerLogging, alerts, retries and a clear owner for fixing errors.
Red flag“We’ll check if you report a problem.”
08Who supports it after Salesforce releases?
Good answerRelease checks and a support plan with written response times.
Red flagSupport ends at go-live.
Budgeting Honestly

What Decides the Cost of Salesforce Integration Services

We don't publish fixed price lists, because an integration quoted before anyone has seen your systems is a guess. Here's what the budget is actually made of, so you can compare quotes properly.

Every integration budget has four parts Each card shows who you pay for that part
