The Basics

What Does a Zoho Implementation Consultant Do?

A Zoho implementation consultant turns a set of Zoho subscriptions into one working system your teams use every day.

Signing up for Zoho takes minutes. Making CRM, Books, Inventory and People share the same customers, items and numbers takes planning. A good consultant decides which apps you actually need, how data should move between them and what to automate, before anyone starts changing settings.

Apps connected, not isolated Scope in writing Pan India
How data should flow
One flow

In a well-implemented Zoho setup, a customer created once in CRM moves through quotes, invoices and stock without anyone typing it in again.

Why Zoho rollouts disappoint, and how we prevent it

Common cause What we do
01
Apps set up in isolation
Customers, items and prices synced across apps
02
Undocumented custom scripts
Deluge code and workflows documented and handed over
03
GST settings guessed
Tax, e-invoice and e-way bill tested on real invoices
04
Spreadsheet data dumped in
Duplicates removed and data checked before import
05
Everyone given admin access
Role-based profiles and permissions from day one

Who We Are, and Who We're Not

Plenty of companies offer Zoho services, and words like "partner" or "certified" get used loosely. Here's our position in plain words, before you shortlist anyone.

What we do

Services we deliver ourselves
  • Implement Zoho One and individual Zoho apps, from requirement study to go-live
  • Migrate data from Tally, Excel or another CRM into Zoho
  • Set up GST, e-invoicing, e-way bill and Indian payroll rules
  • Build Zoho Creator apps, Deluge automations and integrations
  • Provide admin support and AMC for companies already on Zoho

What we are not

So nobody has to guess
  • We are not a Zoho Authorized Partner or reseller, and we don't sell Zoho subscriptions
  • You buy subscriptions from Zoho directly or through a Zoho partner. The account stays in your name.
  • We earn nothing on subscriptions, so we have no reason to push a bigger plan or more apps than you need
  • We don't publish made-up success rates or guaranteed timelines. Every estimate comes after discovery.

Choosing the Right Setup

Zoho One vs Individual Zoho Apps

Zoho, an Indian software company headquartered in Chennai, sells its apps both as a suite and one by one. The right choice depends on how many apps and people you need, not on which sounds bigger.

Individual Zoho AppsBuy only the apps you need
Zoho OneZoho's full suite under one plan
Only the apps you subscribe to
What you get

Choose individual apps if…

You mainly need one or two tools, such as CRM or Books, and want to keep subscription costs tight.

Choose Zoho One if…

Several departments will use Zoho, and you'd rather run one suite than juggle separate subscriptions.

This is a general comparison. Zoho's plans, prices and included apps change from time to time, so check current details on Zoho's website before you decide.
For businesses still on Tally

Moving from Tally
to Zoho Books?

Since 1 August 2023, e-invoicing has been mandatory for businesses whose aggregate annual turnover in any financial year exceeds ₹5 crore (CBIC Notification No. 10/2023–Central Tax), and Zoho Books can generate e-invoices from inside the app. Tally to Zoho Books is one of the most common moves for Indian SMEs. The migration itself is where things usually go wrong, so choose your route deliberately.

How We Work

How Our Zoho Implementation Services Run, Step by Step

Six steps, each ending with something you can see and sign off before the next one starts.

Step 01: Discover Output: app plan

Which Zoho Apps Do You Need?

We talk to each department about how they work today and what's slowing them down, then recommend the Zoho apps and plan that fit, and the ones you can skip.

Process ReviewApp SelectionInitial Estimate
Step 02: Map Output: data-flow map

Design How Data Moves

We map how customers, items, invoices and employees move between apps, decide which app owns each record, and agree the automation list in a written statement of work.

Data OwnershipIntegration MapStatement of Work
Step 03: Configure Output: configured apps

Set Up Each App

Fields, layouts, pipelines, approval rules, tax settings, roles and permissions are configured and shown to you in regular demos, so you see the system take shape.

ConfigurationRoles & PermissionsRegular Demos
Step 04: Migrate & Test Output: tested system

Bring Data In, Prove It Works

Data is cleaned and imported in trial runs. Your own staff then test real scenarios, such as a lead becoming a deal, an invoice with GST and a stock transfer.

Data CleaningTrial ImportsUser Testing
Step 05: Train & Go Live Output: go-live sign-off

Training and Cutover

Role-based training with short user guides, then the final data load and balance checks. Go-live happens only when your team signs off.

User TrainingCutoverReconciliation
Step 06: Support Output: stable usage

Hypercare, Then AMC

After go-live comes a hypercare period, agreed in the contract, while your teams settle in. After that, AMC support covers day-to-day help, changes and improvements.

Why OGEN

Why Pick OGEN as Your Zoho Implementation Consultant?

We won't claim to be the biggest Zoho implementation service provider in India. What we offer is advice that isn't tied to subscription sales, developers who can build what Zoho doesn't do out of the box, and contracts that say exactly what you're getting.

01
Our biggest difference

No subscription commission.
No upselling.

Because we don't resell Zoho, we have no reason to push Zoho One when two apps would do, or a higher plan than you need. Our recommendation is based on your processes, not a sales target.

  • Independent: not a Zoho reseller
  • Zoho One and individual Zoho apps
  • Implementation, migration and AMC
  • In-house Creator, Deluge and API development
  • In business since 2013, based in Noida
Talk to Our Zoho Team
02
Connected apps

Apps that share data

CRM, Books, Inventory and People set up to share the same customers, items and employees, so nothing is typed twice.

03
In-house development

Builders, not just configurers

When Zoho needs a custom app, a Deluge script or an API integration, our developers build it and document it.

04
India context

Built around Indian compliance

GST, e-invoicing, e-way bills, PF, ESI and TDS are planned in the first workshop, not fixed after go-live.

05
Clear contracts

Scope and changes in writing

A statement of work lists apps, deliverables, responsibilities on both sides and how change requests are priced.

What Decides the Cost of Zoho Implementation Services

Zoho Implementation Services FAQs

What are Zoho implementation services?

Zoho implementation services are the consulting and technical work needed to get Zoho apps working for your business: understanding your processes, choosing the right apps and plan, configuring them, connecting them to each other and to your other systems, migrating your data, training your teams, and supporting the setup after go-live.

A Zoho subscription gives you the apps. Implementation decides whether your teams actually use them.

About OGEN

An Independent Zoho Implementation Service Provider in India

OGEN Infosystem Pvt Ltd is a Noida-based software and consulting company, in business since 2013, that provides independent Zoho implementation services to businesses across India.

As a Zoho implementation consultant, we cover Zoho One rollouts, Zoho CRM, Zoho Books and Inventory, Zoho People and Payroll, Zoho Creator apps, Deluge automation, integrations, Tally data migration and AMC support for existing Zoho users.

We are not a Zoho Authorized Partner or reseller. Clients buy subscriptions from Zoho directly or through a Zoho partner, keep the account in their own name, and we deliver the consulting, configuration, migration, training and support work.

Our approach is to start with the fewest apps that solve the problem, connect them properly, and put scope and responsibilities in a statement of work before the project starts. For businesses that outgrow Zoho, we also implement other ERP platforms and build custom software, so our recommendation stays neutral.
